If you're trying to conceive, you should take a prenatal vitamin. Be careful about taking prenatals with folic acid, which is the synthetic form of folate. Some people have MTHFR and folic acid will not work for them. Chris Kresser has a very good article about the difference between folic acid and folate 

If you're having problems with ovulation, there are two good natural substitutes for Clomid or Femara. The first is licorice root. Start with 1350mg a day. Soy Isoflavones are also supposed to help. They're said to be half the strength of Colmid. You'd take it the same way you would take Clomid or Femara, from cycle days 3-7 or 5-9.
